On those days when you can get outdoors, finish off clearing away last year’s spent plants, weed through and mulch with garden compost or well-rotted manure so your garden is fit and ready the moment the growing year starts. Dig any vacant beds, borders or plots, which haven’t been dug already. Check fences and stakes etc. are secure, we could still have some severe winds and gales over the next month or so.
